The Magical First Step in Manifesting Your Life

Palm of hand with seedling

Change your mind on a deeply subconscious level about anything, absolutely anything and you can find yourself in an altered reality. The magical first step in manifesting will bring about untold changes in the reality around you.

It all starts in your mind unified with your heart. Or you heart unified with your mind. Your mind and your heart are the two leaders who are continually creating your reality.

Together they create wonders. By heart I mean somewhere deep within you, somewhere that is intertwined with feelings and emotions. Somewhere in the heart of your soul.

If you haven’t already read Introduction to manifesting your dreams, I recommend you read that first.

In this post we’ll be looking at:
  • Introduction
  • #1 Recognise the positive in everything around you.
  • What if I can’t find anything to be positive about?
  • Time investment
  • Don’t look for results
  • No time pressure please
  • Keep an eye out for the details

I’ve come a long way in my life, and I’ve been consciously manifesting for years. Yet every moment is a miracle, every step filled with learning. I can truly say that I am in love with my life.

And I want you to know that you can do this too.

The whole picture that leads to a different reality is made up of so many aspects and angles, there are literally hundreds, if not more, emotion-mind-linked-actions you can do right now to take your life to the next level, to get from where you are to where you want to be.

In other words to get what you want from your life and to manifest the changes you desire, there are lots of things you can do.

So let’s break it down and take a look at one important tool you can do each day to send out a new energy vibe to the universe and to attract what you most want to come into your reality.

#1 Recognise the Positive in Everything Around You

Stop for a moment. Still your mind and put aside your troubles, your worries, your bills or your sorrows. Just clear your mind and think of anything positive in your life.

No matter what your situation, no matter where you are or what you do, there’s always something positive to be found when you look. Don’t be satisfied with one thing only, keep looking until you’ve recognised a whole Mountain of Positives present in your life.

If there’s something which is linked to a negative, put aside the negative for now. For example, let’s say you live in an apartment but you can’t afford the rent so you write your apartment as positive, but then you think, oh no, I can’t pay the rent so maybe it’s a negative!

It isn’t negative – it’s positive.

Ignore the negative and set it to one side. Brainstorm all the positive things you have in your life including half ones like the example above. Your Mountain of Positives can contain everything from emotions, physical things, relationships, situations, opportunities, plants, animals – anything and everything counts.

When you’ve brainstormed your positives, take a large page, like in a sketch book, and cover the whole page with all the wonderful things you’ve recognised in your brainstorm. If you prefer to list them in your notebook that’s fine too, but I prefer the creative look of a large page decorated with wonderful things.

Read through your Mountain of Positives and concentrate on each one at a time. Close your eyes and imagine the person or animal, plant emotion or whatever it is, and as you imagine it, feel deep gratitude that they are a part of your life.

What If I Can’t Find Anything to Be Positive About?

Your Mountain of Positives can be made up of anything! You can write down: the moon, the stars, the plants, the birds . . . We do not have to own these things to appreciate them. You also can write down – I can walk or dance or whatever it is you can do! And anything healthy about you, write that down too. Any friends you value, they are part of your Mountain of Positives.

Next visualise, for example, the moon in your imagination and feel love and appreciation that the moon lights up our sky. As you give gratitude, make sure to feel the emotion in your heart and chest.

Unattached thoughts or saying thank you with no connection to a deeper part of you, or void of emotion, will have no power in shifting your reality. But thoughts that are connected to your heart and soul and which trigger an emotional response from your body will bring huge changes about.

Practise giving appreciation for your Mountain of Positives every morning before you start your day. You can write new pages as often as you like, or add to your existing mountain as you find more new things to be positive about.

Time Investment

This exercise doesn’t take very much time out of your day. You can give your appreciation for your Mountain of Positives in just a few peaceful minutes. I can’t stress enough how important it is to connect the appreciation to your gut feelings.

Whenever you can, throughout the day, take a moment to give your appreciation for your positives and for everything that crosses your path during the day.

Don’t Look for Results

When you’ve practised this regularly and consistently until it’s become a part of your daily existence, you will begin to develop different feelings, as you see the sun setting on the horizon for example. Make it second nature to appreciate the good things around you.

If you do this expecting results, you will most probably push those very results away from you. Do this for the exercise of feeling good about little things and you will see your life changing before your very eyes.

No Time Pressure

When the practice of appreciation becomes part of your life you’ll start seeing wonderful things where before you didn’t notice. In turn this awareness will attract more wonderful things into your life. Don’t use appreciation as a test to attract something specific but as a way to improve everything around you.

Try it and see how good it makes you feel and how it sets you up to look at the world in a different way. Looking at the world differently will invite different results and attract more and more positive events into your life.

The results are undeniable but if you start focussing on and waiting for the results, you will push them away from you.

So be sure not to put any time pressure on it. Just do it. Do it, feel it and enjoy it . . . and then the results will roll in.

Keep an Eye Out for the Details

Positive shifts don’t have to come in the form of a big bang of fireworks. Most shifts have a build up process and, later on, a point of observation – which is when you perceive the change to happen. But in reality the change was already well under way and in progress.

So during the process be aware of the tiny things of beauty, synchronicity or opportunity that flow into your life. Even small things like getting to an appointment on time despite the traffic jam you ran into on your journey. Recognise these things and appreciate them and so you will attract more.

Be sure not to take this as an isolated practise. This is just one of the many Positive Practises that will help change your life.

Make it a part of your daily life and please come back and let me know what results you get. Once you’ve got your head round this Positive Practise, read on to the second post in the series:  The power of Forgiveness – Manifest your dream life #2.
